Sadly, that is an April Fool's joke. There is no date available when it will be on sale. However, we will email you anytime there is an update and you will be the first to know about it. Enjoy!

All that can be done now. Only thing is that you cant animate it yet.

I doubt the flat is going to be included in the game but, there was something called No Limits Fairground a while back. Maybe the combined then to make the best RCT-esque game ever.

But I doubt it.

With scripting you can.

^^ If you're talking about NL1, then no, not exactly. Lighting can be simulated sloppily in NL1 at best, but it still looks bad.

I actually would have nothing against merging NLF and NL2. Sprinkle some flat rides as part of the park experience. NL has always had unmatched coaster realism and detail, but if they were to apply the same approach to the entire park, it would be even more awesome. A lot of coaster features such as ride op or PoV views could make it over to other rides in the park.

Honestly though, the last 4 screenshots released have been by far the most atmospheric NL2 screenshots to date. Part of it is owed to the new completed supports, and part of it is owed to the new lighting/graphics engine, but another part of it is owed to the additional models surrounding the track; the decorations and lights, the flat ride, the food stand, the trucks, and the parking lot.

I mean that you can make all those 3Ds with NL now. They cant be animated in NL now though. I know 3D scripting is included in NL2.

Is it possible to make a Passion of Christ simulation in No limits 2 with scripts for the charactrer animations? How would you manipulate the scripts to animate the solders that crucity Jesus and all of the other people of the whole scene so that they tell the story? You could have a invisible track and car to go along the ground with the characters as they lead Jesus to the cross. Can you assign dialouge to the scripts for the 3ds animated characters? How big would the whole track pack file be?

Tango will absolutely be included. That was the whole point to making it. We want designers to use Tango as a template to produce their own flat rides to share with the community.

That's the idea. We know that once you guys get your hands on NL2 that you're going to use the new object handling, material handling, and API to full effect.

You can accomplish a lot with NL2 scripts; simple animation, trigger events based on range or context, make objects follow track paths, etc. So I won't say it would be impossible. But something like this would be far easier to accomplish in Maya, Lightwave or 3D Studio Max which have the keyframe, dopesheets, curve editors, and kinematic controls necessary.

Thank you all very much for your comments!

Thanks for the update Phyter. Game looks great as always. Hopefully in the next year or so I'll be able to afford a computer than can run it.

Pyther, have you or the NL Dev team giving any consideration to putting this on Steam? That way you dont have to deal with the, "I dont remember my serial number and stuff," e-mails you must get all the time.

On ride cameras are available as scriptable elements. Also rides can even be coded to work with the "C" and "V" key binds for switching seats or cars. For this video we're going to demo some of the ways you can use these features to create more professional looking videos by effectively turning an invisible coaster track into a camera dolly, which is essentially an on-ride camera attached to an invisible object following an invisible track spline.

I'm pretty sure invisible track is something we've mentioned before. If not, well, I guess I let that one slip. It's a simple feature that opens up a lot of possibilities, particularly when combined with the API. It doesn't take much thought to imagine what you can do with it. Everything from camera dollies, to dark rides, to monorails, go-karts, a flock of birds... whatever. Anything that needs to follow a path. Scripting isn't for everyone but we're extremely excited to see what you guys do with it.

I think I can see some applications:
-Use the Vekoma motorbike coaster to do a recreation of various motorcycle stunts, including that circular metal cage.
-Cover parts of the track with tunnels, 3DS waterpath, to make waterslides.

Will the available area in the editor be approximately the same, or will we have more space to work with?

I just had a strange dream last night that NL2 will be out at any given time. I think the wait had finally paid out but we shall see.

I want custom trains so we can basically design our own coaster types :)
