Everything is crazy. The demo of NL2 is really NL1. Hope They can address these issues later.

Early impressions of editor are UI are not very favorably. Very clicky/menu-y. For instance, to changge the view you now have to click a drop down and THEN pick a view, so it's click->mouse move->click instead of a simple toolbar button.

Clicking the 'buy now' link takes me to 'object not found.' I guess this is going to be a repeat of when Steam offered Left 4 Dead 2 for free [xx(]
But I do have the demo. The wooden coaster took a painfully long time to load, and the FPS would hover around the 20 to 30 something range. The dive machine (which I immediately recognized from the video) seemed to give the smoothest FPS.
I also gave the editor a try to (re)learn the most basic functions.
Anyone notice the shaping of the hill on the B&M hyper?

Tried the demo. Track loading times weren't too bad, but considering the fact that I installed it on my SSD the loading times could be greatly improved. Something around 30 sec for the wooden coaster. Steady 70 FPS on my rig, all settings as high as I could get them. Looks and sounds very good. Only problem I have with the graphics is the lighting, it feels flat and dull.

Going to get the standard version during the weekend. Can't afford the PRO, maybe later :D time to get back to building tracks, don't know if anyone remembers me anymore, I have been away quite a while.

Is everyone going to keep building with FVD++ etc. or by handbuilding?

^HA. That's exactly what I've been saying this whole time. It needs more expose and contrast. Someone check theenv. file for lighting settings!

Holy Shiz! This is amazing, automated switching!

I think jackfrahn's Mine Shaft should be updated with this!

Disappoint. After waiting so long for NL2, the types offered aren't worth it. It's definitely more powerful, but it's basically a new way of doing the same old things.

Timberliners, 4D, suspended,Dive and staggered BM hyper tracks are all that's new that shouldn't have been in an update for NL1 years ago and the morgan/arrow hypers are gone. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the Timberliners B&M hyper and Dive trains are the only three that weren't in other programs when NL1 was still making updates.

I had my fingers crossed to see Intamin/Mack Bobsled, Zacspin, TOGO styles, S&S Freefly & launched tracks but figured they wouldn't make it in.

I KNEW it'd have Intamin/B&M Wing coasters, wild mouse styles and... y'know >>More of the unreleased models everyone can tell is NL<< but none of that for 8 years and 15 bucks more than the first one.

AND DON'T SAY "Wait for the update!"

They had eight years to build more than four new models, eight years and a late launch actually. The amount of of modern tracks since that time is far too low, it should have released with more for the price

D'oh... looks like my computer's too out of date to run it. It says that my graphics card doesn't support it. Oh well. No NL2 for me... I can't afford a new computer, so I'm SOL.

Update to my last post, I am seeing some dips in the FPS. Seems to happen when there are alot of track visible. Happens even when all settings low. Hast to be an issue with the game, my rig (i5-3570K 4.5GHz, 8 GB RAM, OC GTX 670) should run this without a hitch on maximum settings.

How's the download speed for anyone else?
It's really bad now. like .1 MB per second for me.

I'm trying the demo for the hell of it. If it even opens on my crapbox I'll be genuinely impressed.

To the people complaining that it's essentially the same game:
What exactly were you expecting? A pony?
"Careful man, there's a beverage here!"

Not to be impatient, but can anyone with the EXE fully downloaded, upload it somewhere else on another file hosting service and give us the link? The download speeds are painful.
