That is funny that you say the drop is well shaped, because some people on nle are saying it is one of the moor poorly shaped parts of the ride. :?

I think the shaping is a bit better???

Can anyone give me a professional opinion about this shaping wise.

It looks fine to me but I really have no idea how to use newton or any of those programs. I would forge ahead if I was you.

Looks like there has been some supporting going on. ;)

The pullout is way too high up.

I'm just testing some supports out. I am currently completely remaking the trackwork and the drop shaping is much better

EDIT: Why the heck did I post this image twice??? lol

What should be better? I used shambhala as a reference. It is about the same height as shambhala (but it is a bit taller by 4 or 5 meters).

The pic on this page- http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/fo ... rks/220125

The cover of this wiki- http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shambhala:_Expedici??????n_al_Himalaya

Keep in mind that I also wanted to make my coaster a bit steeper than shambhala and my coaster is a bit taller. The FVD pic of the drop looks kind of messed up though. It looks much better in the sim. I'll post a pic later

Here is an image of the drop. I also changed the end of the layout too (including the addition of an MCBR).

It seems it stretches out bit at the start of the drop, giving it a rounder look when it should be a lot more gradual. How steep is the drop?

It's looking better, but still a bit off in the way that Projektion said.

Yes. The crest seems drawn out, giving it a rounder look as stated above
It's been a long time

Most of the pics you see of Shambala's drop aren't taken directly some the side, so it makes it appear more stretched out than it is. I think what you have is correct, just with too big a radius. This construction pic should help even though the drop didn't exist at the time lol.

Remember the coaster that I just posted as my fourth weekly coaster idea? Well... I decided to jazz it up just a bit . It now has two launches (first one at 72 MPH and the second at 85 MPH), a beyond vertical ~200 foot drop, insane airtime, and 7 inversions. And also, It may or may not be in the same park as my b&m hyper and a couple of other coasters 8-)

Totally not inspired by cheetah hunt.

Not even a bit. ;)

Both launches in one picture

And a jo-jo roll after the brake run. Because regular jo-jo rolls are too mainstream.

A beyond vertical drop with no chainlift or brakes to control the speed? What are the G's in the back row? This concerns me. Looks interesting so far, just keep in mind at the height you're working with the supports and stuff may get a little weird.

In the very back it spikes at -1.3 gs briefly. It does have trims at the top of the ascent to the tower.

I love supporting so much, especially when I can go a bit crazy with it!
