Thorpe Park - 30/05/09

Hi guys

Me and a few friends went to Thorpe Park yesterday. Had an AMAZING time, probably one of my best visits there. Unfortunately, Stealth was down when we went to queue, and when it opened back up, we didnt have enough time left to go on it. But, I still got a few shots of it The weather there was incredible, but the queues were unbelievably long, and so we didnt get that many rides in the time we were there. At one point in the day, Tidal Wave reached a queue time of 85 minutes. Way to long to wait. Anyway, the day was very good, and we got on Saw - The Ride. I have to say, it is definately one of the most incredible coasters I have ridden. A lot of you will probably differ in opinion, but as my first very highly themed coaster, I was completely blown away. I would DEFINATELY recommend it to anyone! And I got a Saw pen thats made to look like a seringe Anyway, here is the list of rides we went on in order:
Colossus - 1
Saw - The Ride - 1
Samurai - 1
Nemesis Inferno - 1
Slammer - 1
Tidal Wave - 1
Rumba Rapids - 1
Rush - 3

I was very surprised by Rush yesterday. As I had never ridden it or anything like it, I didnt know what to expect. It was immensely fun, and we went on it 3 times in a row. I loved the feeling of freedom due to the very small lap restraints. The feeling at the top was incredible, and the airtime was sooooooooooo fun!

I had an incredible day at Thorpe Park. The highlight of the day was Saw - The Ride. Unbelievable experience, and the inside part of the ride was fantastic! Definately worth a visit, and I hope to go there again some time!

Not sure if it means anything, another film? Hinting another ride maybe? Not suree.....sounds stupid really, but just something i noticed, and something to think about.

Great PTR, it seems like Thorpe is an awesome park. This is completely random, but how is the transition out of the consecutive rolls on Colossus?

Well, I did actually notice yesterday for the first time that it is very long, and dragged out. Nothing too noticable to be honest, but just a bit boring. The surprising barrel roll right at the end round the corner takes your mind off the long turn though.

there have been 5 saw films so far and the 4th saw film has part of the slogan as "the games have just begun

saw 1 - live or die
saw 2 - yes there will be blood
saw 3 - suffering? you havent seen anything yet
saw 4 - you thought it was over, but the games have just begun
saw 5 - in the end all the pieces will fit together
