I set off for Thorpe Park around 9:30am and arrived 1 hour later.
The park looked busy and was thinking to myself I wont be riding anything today.
As we parked we could see that Stealth was running and was excited to see it. Seeing that was the new ride me and my brother went to that first and there was a pretty short queue dispite the huge crowds. 30 minutes later we got close to the front of the queue and realised no one was waiting in the front row line. I thought it was closed or something, but no. Everyone else was so stupid they were following each other into the other line, for non front row.
So we went into the front row and people started to realise they've been making a mistake. A huge flood of people followed us and some black girl had the cheek to ask if she could go infront. I decline her offer and made her wait her turn. tongue
Then we got into the seats and was ready for the all important launch. That launch was fast I can tell you. Amazing! The top hat provided air time all the way over the top and the ride provided some nice positives at the bottom. The airtime was hill was ruined by the brakes.
The next ride went too was Colossus, the coaster with 10 inversions!
The queue was a lot longer for this ride and ended up waiting for approx 1 hour. We decided not to front row this as we didn't want to waste any more time. Luckily, we got 2nd row so it all wasn't a bad turnout. Those seats are really tight to get into, even with a skinny guy like me. Plus a real pain in the jakzie to get out of. So up the lift we went and down a nice tame drop. The loop was fast and not to be under estimated, then after that, you absolutly fly through this shallow hill missing the shop and diving under it into a pretty fast cobra roll. After this there are two very fast corks one after the other. Now going into a 180 turn for the rolls.
Those rolls really make me feel sick more than anything because the way they turn you pretty slow. It's a strange feeling too, you fall out your seat and seems like death is too close wink
Now feeling a bit sick we go to the Inverted coaster Nemesis Inferno, if it was anything like the first Nemesis, I was in for a treat. I couldn't believe my luck, the queue so short for such a busy day, why is no one riding this thing? Anyway, we queued and got first row. The ride began with a nice twisting section in some mist. The bars were now wet so holding onto anything was a miss tongue So hands up all the way and sure enough that's what I did. The ride had a good intense layout and had some nice helixes and fast inversions.
An overal good ride.
