Thunderbolt Express is not a recreation but is strongly based on the real Thunderbolt Express. While I was up in West Virginia a few years ago for a hockey tournament. When I was there the ride was SBNO, now its torn down.

Thunderbolt Express was Arrow?????????s first shuttle loop coaster to operate for the public. It operated from 1988-1999 and was originally Demon at PKI.

Pictures of the real ride:

Progress will most likely move very slowly this week because exams are coming up so some studying must get done but next week I plan to finish the supporting.

Comments and Ideas are welcome.

This was my very first looping coaster at PKI. I remember as a little boy thinking this was the tallest, most extreme ride on the planet.[lol]

I also look forward to riding it as it still holds a place in my heart as one of the rides that got me excited about riding roller coasters.

Update: I'm back working after a break for exams. Anyways, I changed the loop support style becuase the circular style was not turning out as good as I planned. I have found that many of there later model used this new support style as shown here: http://www.rcdb.com/ig209.htm?picture=2

Heres some pictues on the progress: http://nldc.interfix.net/p1463

Trackwork: Done
Supports: 90% (just have some rails to make after I put in the 3d's.)
Objects: 0%
Cartexture: 100%

Comments and Ideas are welcome. [:)]
