Timber. What an extremely unique and creative name. ;)

It's a fine name considering that English is not the French's primary language.

Well the ride is kinda themed to lumberjacks/sawmills so the name is really fitting.

They had a contest over Facebook for people to choose a name.... "Timber!" was my entry!! (originally spelled "Tiiimber!")

As the name isn't officially announced, no winner yet.

To give credits when it's due: That was my dad's idea. Basically when I told him the rules and the theme, he yelled TIIIMBEERR and told me the story behind the word. I mean, I knew it meant a piece of wood, but I didn't know people shouted it out loud when cutting a tree, just like you say Fire in the Hole! before blasting a dynamite in a mine.

Another name I had in mind was Tilikum. Not because of the killer whale, but because it means "people" in... some lumberjack people langage.

I agree this isn't original, but have in mind other entries were things like Cut Cut Wood, or TheDeathMachineofWoodScissor, or Le train des Bois... There were more than 500 submissions.

This is exactly what I thought when I saw timber and the train design! I think it comes across well.

Looks like a fun ride to be honest - I really like these "micro woodies" that GG are producing, although the 3 consecutive lateral airtime hills at the beginning feel kinda repetative - perhaps changing out the middle hill for a straight airtime hill would've felt a little better.

Hmmm... I'm kinda bummed out that it contains a lot of gimmicky hills. Probably to make up for their missing 90?? trademark turn. I would have preferred to see a few normal airtime hills. But hey, the first GG on the European Mainland. I do hope this is going to create a GG boom like what happened with the first GCIs.

Well, I love the difference between small tracks and big ones. On a compact ride we tend to expect some g-force snaps while on a large one, we enjoy the feel of sliding at an incredibly fast pace!

8-)

The new coaster won't be the only new thing next year! There will be also be a Zamperla Barnyard, a new food point and new toilets and the park's existing wild mouse coaster will be re-themed to fit the new area. Here's some more concept art!
