sorry but you still use the word english in ther so get your own bloody language and call it somthing diffrent like, americanan or usalovesburgers or somthing. english is english and if you carn't speek it like the english dont even bother.

ohh and i agree with edge, but its not the indians im worried with because they work bloody hard for us, its the muslims who belive we owe them part of our lives (please dont think of me as a racised). this is a true story, my farther is a manager at jaguar in the brownslane plant birmingham, after a muslim refused to carry out a reasonable request he had the employee in the office for a chat. my farther then got a 20 minit reading from the koran on how only god could tell him what to do and knowone else and he then told my dad that he owed him 9 years of his life after my dad put him on a job that requiares heavy lifting and that it will hurt his back. the guy got fired.

theres onlya small minority in this country like this and most of the imagrents are hard working, decent, honest people. its just the minority which bring the rest down.

mind now closed, rant over

What is that word? At any rate, if it supposed to be Canadian, is that even a language? No. People who reside in Canada speak mainly French or English. <severe eye roll>

Not always. [;)]

In 2001, almost 5,335,000 individuals, about one out of every six people, were allophones, that is, they reported having a mother tongue other than English or French.

Considering that Canada has a population of only about 32 million people, there is a pretty good chance that you will talk to someone that speaks something else. [:P]

Especially in Toronto, Very Multicultural. I actually want to learn a lot of languages... Like Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Italian or Greek, and more First Nations languages. Maybe some other's, like Russian or Dutch.
I'd like to learn a language from the Middle East, but I'm not sure...

I'd actually like to learn Korean too, pretty much every Asian Language, but Chinese the most.

[lol] Edge, I was gonna link to that as well.

There is a serious point in that though, it really does bother me that there are large areas of mine own city, in which I have lived for my entire life, where I can't go without hearing someone talking in some form of Asian language or other. I'm all for diversity, but it comes to something when you walk down a road and a group of 5 people walk past you, talking a different language and laughing, whilst looking at you... I mean, what am I supposed to think of this? They're clearly poking fun at me in someway, but what am I supposed to make of it, if I haven't got a clue what they are saying? IMO, that's just cowardly. It's not just stuff like that however, it's everyday stuff. I have to catch 4 buses everyday on my route to and from work and everyday someone will get on the bus who just expects the driver to speak their language, the drivers feel pressured by this and usually just end up letting the person on for free, BUT it's not even likie the drivers are English anyhow, if they're not wearing a turban, it's because they're Polish and if they're not Polish or wearing a turban, it's because it's a woman and I'm not even gonna start on women drivers [lol]

Anyway yes, my point, somewhere along the line, before I started going off on one, was that if you go to a country to LIVE in the country, you should have the courtesy to at least make an effort to learn the language. Infact, the more I think about it, it should probably be a requirement for anyone who chooses to live in a different country, like a government policy or however it works... [lol]

Correction : Welcome to England [lol]

Same thing here Gouldy. They come here for a better life and the only thing they can be bothered to do is deal drugs and ruin our society. Then they fecking moan when taxes go up and we have more problems.

The fact is they have no respect for us at all. I don't know how the hell we let them live in this country. They can't even be asked to talk our language. How disrespectful is that!?

Now, when you talk about them we have to include a sentance like "No racism intended" so we don't get our asses kicked by a group of Asains.

In order to live in Canada, you have to be able to communicate in english. You don't need to learn every bit of it, but you need to atleast be able to have a conversation in english. Unless your a Grandma coming over because your family lives here, then you don't need to know anyhting...
It's really complicated, but atleast you don't need to be able to speak french...

The most interesting thing is that you can be a Doctor in whatever country, then come to Toronto and not be able to practice here without going to shcool all over again... we have a shortage of healthcare peeps... Really messed up...

I could go on a little bit of how they keep deporting nurses which happen to also be refugees... but let there kids stay... okay...

I was wondering, does the city government have anything to do with Canada's wonderland being so crappy?

this is one thing i also hate, why is it when a white comidian makes a joke about a black guy its racised but when a black comidian make a joke about a white guy its all fine and dandy. its all one sided!!!! we white people cannot speek of muslim, asian, indian, pakistani and so forht with out an uproar but if they call us white, pale and so on, nothing. in the new dictionary paki is now a sweare word, but they can call us anything. you can even get arrested for racism. WTF. have you ever seen an (politically correct word) ethnic person arrested for that, i dont think so.
