Track Simulations

How do you make track simulations on you're computer?, do you need some kind of software if yes what do you need?

do you have to make the simulation on a game such as rct3 or nl?

You can use No Limits, Scream Machines, the Ultimate Ride Series, Hyper Rails, or the Rollercoaster Tycoon Series. It all depends on which game you enjoy using the most. NL, HR, and SM are the best, but with experience you can make fairly good simulations with the UR series as well. I don't like RCT2 because of that annoying isometric view, and I tried a demo of RCT3 and didn't like that either, so like I said it all depends on what you like.
