I found out something strange..
I trackpacked my new track Gold Mine Compact (http://www.coastercrazy.com/track_exchang ... p?tid=4007 if u want to ride it [;)])
(and zipped it)and saw that it was 448 kb..ok
then i remembered not everybody liked trackpacked rides, so i made it by putting the track/cartextures into the corrisponding files, and zipped that..it was only 419 Kb
so really, its a smaller file if u do that, rather than trackpack it...
(lol, ok not a big difference but still, it must be the program)

Size doesn't matter to me.

What matters is how easy I can uninstall all the extra stuff that came with the track if I find the track to be boring.

I'm so tired of ZIP packages that dump like 20-30 3DS object into the NL folders and then have do dig that crap out by hand.

That's why I prefer Track packager as it's a very easy way to uninstall the stuff just with the press of a button.

The best solution would be of course if NL in the future supported some sort of packaging of all stuff associated to a track and helped the user to remove it from the user interface. But until then Track packager rules and ZIP files stinks.

i agree. i hate having a billion objects getting dumped in the wrong locations. i have better things to do with my time than shuffle around files. i'm hopeful that nl will have a feature that will itegrate something like track packager into the main program. i could care less if the file is a few kBs extra [pshades]
