How do you strip a fact? Even if they decided to actually scrap it the smiler would still hold that record.

Or they'd double count a bunch of crap on a 4th dimension coaster.

Would it be perhaps based on the fact that its last 2 circuits didn't make it all the way round?

apparently, according to an ex park employee, before the accident trains got stuck at that same place three times!

Oh give over you two are succumbing to the media frenzy. They weren't problems it was pretty much normal operations and there was no risk to anyone involved - I wouldn't be surprised if the clip was planted by someone at a paper like the mirror. It's getting to be a joke now - why isn't every park ever in the news for closing a ride to add a extra train? Such bad news reporting.

It's quite clear that they're trying to push Merlin's stocks as low as possible, so they can invest and then sell their shares for big profits when they inevitably go back up....

So, this is what it's like to be an enthusiast in the UK with access to social media at the moment...

Kill me now.

At least I was cheered up when I looked at what was trending...

Edit...

HAVE YOU READ THIS STUFF?!!?!? Who is writing this!? And have they never been to a theme park!?

They're talking about breakdowns (when rides close for 10/20 minutes) as if they've had a bloody accident? How is any of this news. I hate our press so much.

Fox News: Conservative propaganda.
CNN: Liberal propaganda.

CNN isn't liberal, statistics have just had a liberal bias for the past 25 years or so. The left-wing sensationalist channel is MSNBC.

What in hell company constructed this? I don't think the park is sucking at maintaining the ride because they've been round too long to avoid an incident prior to this if it was the case, and Gerstlauer isn't known for delivering a broken product.

the thing is, the uk does not yet have a national organization to inspect and test the coasters in every uk theme park. if i could, i would start that organisation, but i'll need help, i can't do it on my own.
also, x-sector (apart from the smiler) and sonic spinball have reopened!

Already damages are at the cost of the ride itself.
Oh, were you expecting something here?
