Im in the middle of making a roller coaster thats in the middle of the ocean and I got a great idea for a tunnel. I wanted to try to make a tunnel that was a net, so it would be a square net thats a tunnel. I wanted to know if you can make a custom texture for tunnels in tunnel maker, cause I dont have object creator.

If a make a black tunnel, which is usually the color of nets, it wont look like a net.

you can get a free one at http://www.anim8or.com/ then make a tunnel and texture it like a net. Or, I'm not sure if this would work, but you could open the tunnel you made in the tunnel maker in Anim8or, then just put the texture on it.

i doesn't work always if you use the tunnel maker and then just put a texture on the object. to get the texture really on it. i use the uv texturing. http://ermen.ath.cx/dirk/tutorials.html
there can you find a small tutorial how you can do that.

Hey... Johnson? how did you get the tunnel maker to work? I can make a tunnel but it's always shaped like a semicircle.

you can open other shapes, and if you move nodes can you create your own shape. and if you can't find the buttons, click then on some buttons so you can find out what it does.

for texturing a tunnel made by the tunel maker , you need to import in the anim8or the tunnel , then select the object and go to the tool bar and select build and then ungroup. now create the material ( texture) and aply this to the tunnel, and then adjust the texture with the UV button. i hope this help you.

do first then a simple tutorial on the website: www.anim8or.com
if you have done 1 tutorial you'll understand more. and know how you must do things.

i've copied the adding texture part from a tutorial:
To add your materials, select Options->Materials from the menu to show the material panel. Double click on the "New" material and select the stem's properties. Then select the stem and click on the "Apply" button at the top of the material panel.

I found a picture of a chain fence on a texturing site. But I dont know how to use it. And I net it to have holes in it and look like a net, not just a drwing of a net over it.
