dOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MAKE TUNNELS UNDERGROUND ACTUALLY WORK, INSTEAD OF RAMMING INTO THE GROUND?

The only way you can do it is if you use 3ds...there is no option available in the game that allows you to make an underground tunnel.
