In an interview that ValleyMania had with the management of Lightwater Valley, was mentioned that the park has ideas to extend The Ultimate to make it once again, the longest Rollercoaster in the world.

Would you ever consider extending The Ultimate to make it the world?????????s longest rollercoaster yet again?

Yes we are considering this, it would be useful to get some feedback on what riders might like to see and experience.

^^ Depends, but I assume they're on a limited budget so we're not going to get anything too grand unfortunately.

It would also become the most boring coaster again.

This would be a great idea if the ride didn't hurt

I like how it follows the terrain. Parts of it remind me of Whizzer vaguely. All it needs are a few more little air pops and it'll be great.

Hmmm, I questioned your intelligence a while back during the tournament, but thanks. I now have no more questions [:)]

This looks like one of the best rides I would ever ride...if I would ever ride it! The drops off the first two lifts that lead in to ridiculously fast hills and such. Looks like it has plenty of air and speed and a lot of length. Doesn't look even close to boring to me.

Eh, only a couple hills look exciting at all.

The exciting bit is how close to the ground you are. But, if I had my way and had a particular car, I wouldnt ever need to ride it, lol.

Ultimate never impressed me. I think I have it on one of the Alvey DVDs.

looking at that pov video, what a poor poor design. The bit after the second lift hill looks good, but it's clear they just added a lot of high speed straight sections to drag out the length to get the record.

Really, looks like the ultimate cheap and nasty ride.

Hmm, that's odd. Last year I heard that the ride was going to be taken down within the next few years. I guess they decided to scrap that idea.

^ If they tore it out I doubt the park would last much longer.

the straight sections are the to bring the train to the actual roller coaster in the hills a few hundred meter back in the park , and after that back to the station so that they could keep the station in the park.

Length for length's sake isn't a reason to extend. only good reason is to make a better ride.

The Ultimate is an awesome coaster.
First half is a little simple, but there is a bit of airtime! Second half is absolutely insane, and its just generally a unique coaster.
Doesn't need improving, or lengthning though, its a pretty awesome coaster and any more length would probably kill alot of speed.
Think the park need to spend money on new attractions, there is so much room and a lot of potential.
