Parks use the GP's Ignorance to their advantage, the more times they say "the biggest, the fastest etc etc..." the more people will go "Wow, oh my god!", where as we just sit here and go "meh, clearly just bullshite intended to pray on the fact that the GP has no idea otherwise". Parks bend the truth all of the time and the GP believes it because, well, they have no idea what the truth is so yeah, of course they believe it.
Like jpecool mentioned, the advertising for Rita in this country ... "0-100 in 2.8" of course the GP thinks "Wow, 100mph!", how many times have the UK coaster peeps been standing in the queue for Rita and heard them go, "I can't believe it goes 100mph!". You do actually want to turn around and brutally masacre them in the face. When I was at Alton Towers with gazag the other week, we were in the skyride just leaving Rita behind and some crazy child goes "it goes 110mph" and you're thinking, now that's just pure BS

. I suppose you have to laugh, as I think this is one of the only subjects where people will just stand their and claim to have knowledge about it (while they are at parks anyway) when they BLATANTLY do not. I mean, if you don't know anything about science, you don't stand in a lab reeling off bullcrap to the scientists in the room, why does it happen at theme parks?
