I understand and can't speak for others, but I rarely finish track's that aren't under some sort of time pressure, mainly due to just not having layout inspiration, the heavier constraints help the layout take shape in my head instead of just being vague idea. In addition to the ideas above more complex template shapes are also fun.

Well, as you can see there is a big red "X" indicating what part of the template MUST be used. I wont change the exoskeleton of the template, but if enough people want it, I'll add another "Must Use" area.

Woo, already got more entries so far than the official NL contest that ended last month. And this is unofficial.

I am quite pleased with the turn out thus far. Also, doing tiny little contests like this is a great way to boost site activity and participation.

Edit; Welcome to the contest mkingy :)

Most likely because this one isn't during final exams :)

So are we going to get a template soon? We're up to 10 entries.

TEMPLATE IS POSTED!!! Lets get to work folks! If you have any questions regarding rules or the template (or my mother's drinking habits) feel 100% free to either ask it here, or in a PM.

Also, PLEASE don't forget to keep us all updated on the progress of your creation! Screenshots, previews, anything that gets the hype up! The more the merrier!

Ah, one of the advantages of FVD++ over Newton. Too bad it's gonna be kinda annoying to start, being unable to put more than |220| feet in any x or z direction at the anchor, but it looks like the correct scale according to my "measuring stick."

Spends several minutes tweaking the slanted launch into the dive loop, then realizes it goes over 125 feet at its highest point.

I instantly thought of TOGO Manhatten Express from seeing that picture.

Pic won't load.
Before that, the loop and the cobra roll kinda look a little too much stretched vertically. Well, that's all I could find from that pic alone. Describing shaping is kinda difficult for me sometimes.

Guess it does kinda look like that but it's only side view. It's not exactly like that. The exit of the element comes out at an angle to the entry rather than directly below, and mine doesn't go completely upside down at the apex, but a little later.

Also, it's now under 125 feet tall like it should be.
The far away "must use" areas are going to make this a challenge since I wanted to make a compact layout but the distance between them will make that difficult. Oh well.
