A note to Mac users: the current version of NoLimits Roller Coaster Simulation 2 is for Windows only.
Most likely we will also create a Mac version, but this will take quite some time, probably until next year.
Please do not ask for release date, we cannot give any info yet.

However, if you can't wait for the Mac version:
some customers reported that NoLimits 2 (Windows) works perfectly fine on MacBooks with Windows Emulators, look here for a list:

Parallels is the best one (but costs), Wine Bottler is a very good alternative which is free.
No guarantees that NL2 Win will work on your Mac with an emulator, but maybe worth a try for those of you who don't want to wait for the Mac version.

Hey guys, I wanted to post here because I am using NL2 on a Mac and it's running great, so I thought I'd just let you know what I found out.

Bootcamp is unquestionably better than Parallels in terms of running the game, if you do not mind rebooting into Windows to use it. Bootcamp also comes for free with almost all (if not all) recent Macs, though you do have to pay for the Windows OS in order to use it.

I did try running NL2 on my actual Mac OS through Wine Bottler and couldn't get it to work, but someone who knows more about computers may have better luck. I'm pretty tech-literate, though, so I'm not certain it's a super viable option.

For reference I have a mid-2012 rMBP with a 512GB HD (I partitioned 80GB over to Windows through Bootcamp), 16GB RAM, and 2.6GHz Intel Core i7. I believe it has both an Intel HD Graphics 4000 and a 1GB GDDRS NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M.

On most of the included tracks I average about 75-90 FPS on middle-high graphic settings, and even with heavily terraforming/heavy supporting/multiple tracks I would say I still average around 40.

TLDR: Bootcamp worked best for me, and boy does it work.
