I'm assuming this is a total prototype as it just seems to be a station, lift, and brakes with turns in the middle making a circle. Wouldn't surprise me if once it gets past "proof of concept" that it's expanded upon into a much bigger ride.

If those were actually B&M patents Im still sticking to my theory. I really don't see the flying cars working well if they transition horizontally in motion.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

There is a company called Setpoint (they made the suspended single rail things like Batflyer) that had proposed that concept at one of the IAAPA's, but nobody bought it. Setpoint is still around but they focus more on dark-ride kind of stuff.

Looks like a train might be on the tracks now. They've covered it up so we can't see it. Sneaky bastards.

judging by how thin it is, the seats might be sideways.

There's gotta be another axis of rotation, the horizontal axis makes no sense when the track goes from sideways to inverted.

It is if it's a flying. If you bank a flyer 90 deg and then rotate the seats, you sit upright-ish.

Video of the full test train on the track! They've been testing this at night apparently so no one has been able to see how it works yet.

Question,

With the new increase in unit length, does it travel and always touch a feed motor? If so, it's probably not a coaster but some sort of dark ride prototype.

Seeing how long that train currently is. It'll probably end up as some dark ride system.

Yeah I agree with you guys - dark ride with some potential rotation along the axis.

Are they seriously making the world's best "rotational" dark ride? I hope so! ;)

i recon that the train might eventually be in a continuous loop, with both ends connected.

If the track wasn't as curvy in some spots and straight in others I might agree, but I feel like it would be hard to deal with the car couplings around curves when the other parts are going straight specifically on the front and end car.

Variable-length-links could work, like on a car's driveshafts. Don't think its gonna happen, though. Looks to me like it'll be something of usual length.

The articulation is probally not a problem except for when you have large things sticking out to the side. Maybe the ride will only feature left turns as then it's not a problem for right side seating.
