Was just thinking....

I just wish the people who download coasters and do not rate them would leave some type of message or send a PM explaining why. Most of my coasters are sitting in the exchange without any rates or comments. I don't care about what score they give, I just want to know that they rode them. As far as requiring members to post a message or a few before being able to download and rate coasters, well I think it's a good idea. What is a community if we do not communicate?

I've been around for nearly four years and it makes me cringe when I hear that you may start to edit my ability to post a track. Simply because I choose to not post every day does not make me any less of a member as someone who posts nonsense everyday. Trust me, in my four years I have checked the forums damn near every day Should I be penalized for not posting or should i be welcomed for my contributions for the rides I generate?

I'm not saying that I'm a great designer, but I hope we will all recognize the fact that I will not settle of an average ride. My rides now takes months to create and I will not settle for less.

This site does not need anymore rules, it just needs people to remember where we started.

The rules are there for a reason.
And if they have to be changed, so fecking be it. Rules are put there because they are beneficial, if they weren't, there would be no such thing.

I edited my comments above and I wanted to explain a little more how the 10 foot spacing in NL and the 6 foot spacing in real life caused me to create a too high roller coaster. I built my NL coaster thinking the NL spacing was 6 feet so I put my coaster (by sight) 11 horizontal 2x6's high. I thought that would make my NL coaster 66 feet high. But it turned out to be 110 feet high due to the 10 foot spacing on the NL horizontal 2x6's. A little confusing I know, but I hope you understand.
Right now, I'm trying to recreate the Troy coaster at Toverland. All I have to go by are the pictures. Really that's all I need because I know the measurements of the structure and I count the horizontal 2x6's and multiply by 6 feet and I know the height of the hill in the picture. Also it's good to know the total length of the track and you have to depend on the press releases to give the proper figures.
