Not that I'm saying your coaster didn't deserve it (it totally did. Great job on Taurus), nor am I complaining about suddenly having 89 million points (wtf? how is that possible?). But ratings like what Phant and Mecha-wahtever left are the kind of ratings that are degrading the exchange on this site. Nubs leaving all 10s or close to it and their reasoning is something like "i like how it went so fast"

LOL right? I have like 30 million points now. I had like 400 yesterday.

This ended up sounding more hostile than it is- because I know what you're getting at- but at least they're rating, lol... Hardly anybody does anymore. It looks like both of the members you called out literally just joined in. Everybody rates are like that at the beginning of their time here and eventually heed examples lead by others- but there are hardly any examples to follow these days. Essentially, the only thing degrading to a ride exchange are members having like a 1-5% rating ratio, and it isn't wise to expect a lot out of such conditions. Take what we can get, I say

Well, I'm attempting to fix the problem. I'm going to try speeding up the process of new members learning to rate like intelligible human beings by giving them a guide on rating.

There is already a fantastic guide available, but it's hefty (as it really should be). Your guide was made well but a noobie isn't going to want to read that. I hardly even read the entire thing. If you were to create a more concise and briefversion that won't drift away into forum graveyard (as it is a thread- unless made sticky) that would be an intelligent action. Maybe staff would give it its own location on the homepage so it doesn't need to be dug for at all- "Calling All Newcomers."

I cannot find it but I am fairly certain the guide I was referring to was produced by Symbiotic

Who ever complained about it being unfair? Lol. The running weeks start and end one day earlier and everybody gets 1,500x times the listed number of points- seems pretty fair to me

Not this week. All of the winning coasters have legit ratings. It was getting a little old seeing a coaster with a single 0.25 rating win 3rd place.

But now I can go back to changing my title and avatar freely. Before I had to WORK for points by participating!

Any particular reason these "weekly awards" topics are in theme park discussions rather than in the general No Limits forum?

^ although theme park discussions may not be the right place either, the awards are open to all games/uploads not just no limits

Right. I keep forgetting that people can upload coasters besides No Limits here.
