are you KIDDING me? Dont be alarmed because this is by far the stupidest and most false end of world prediction I have ever heard in my life. This whack christian fundamentalist church "calculated" that the end will occur on May 21, 2011. (The 21 seems familiar 2012 ripoff?)

and besides im not very religious but as a roman catholic, didnt Matthew's Gospel say that no man will know when the end of times occurs? AND dont froget the supposed "evidence" in Revelation about doomsday 2000? Never happened.

Idiot, the sun will not heat and expand to the point where Earth becomes uninhabitable for 1-2 BILLION years, and even after that, it will not so much explode as shed off layers to produce a planetary nebula, then collapse into a white dwarf. [^]

Trust me, the Bible has nothing to do with this. The Bible actually says (when Jesus' disciples asked Him when the end would come) "But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Matthew 24:36).

As for me, this particular Christian plans going to keep doing what I always do... ignore those who claim to know something that not even the angels of heaven know, and go about my usual life admitting that I do not know when and that there is no way to know.

If they are wrong, then I think its only fair that we all chip in and file a federal class action lawsuit for intentional infliction of emotional distress. I believe their false representations were designed with the intent of creating a willful tort in falsely representing a communication from a non-existent supreme being in order to manipulate and frighten us.

If this is your philosophy than why are you a Christain? Surely admitting to not know things is a sure sign of skepticism?

^Just because I admit that I do not know when does not mean that I do not believe that it will happen.

The 22nd will by my birthday. Also, this seems like some people wanted some attention. Dont fear what you cant control. The end of the world is different for everyone. Case and point, the end of the world for myself will likely be around the years 2050 and on up. For someone else it might be tomorrow or in five minutes.

End of the world to me is the day you die.

Rev 22:20: [Jesus said] 'Surely I am coming soon'.
By using the "randomly select vaguely written poorly translated from Hebrew passages to interpret literally" method (as popularly used for gay marriage) I have "interpreted this" as next week.

Criticizing me is against my faith so that makes you a bad person and now I'm going to ban a science textbook so I'll see you sinners later.

Let's not make this into another 20 page religious debate.

On subject, I think that this is total crap. I also don't believe in the whole 2012 deal either.
