I've been on both. Dash wins.

Toro honestly feels like a steel hyper...forces and everything.

I wish Astroworld would close...oh wait.

I don't like overrated steel rides, fanboys and concrete is all. If they had something wood that was worth riding at all, and some trees instead of mediocre steel rides, I might like it more.

there are plenty of trees at the park.
and if you want to see trees, go to a neighborhood park, not an amusement park.
i dont go to amusement parks for trees.

Or I could just keep going to parks I like and bitching about CP on internet forums where all the fanboys are apparently too dumb to realize I'm just trolling..... [:p]

haha, alright.
my bad, didnt mean to sound snappy.
and not that im like the parks biggest fanboy or anything, i just think its a pretty nice park.
yeah there can be some improvements, but i think its fun.

It was a jet coaster inspired by Jet Roller at Mt Ikoma. I trashed it.

Why would you want any park to close? It makes no sense. [:S] All parks have there place IMO and offer something.

I want Blckpool pleasure beach to Close, It's Too Expensive and it really needs updating!!

how dare you Blackpool pleasure beach is one of the fines amusement parks in Europe and its history isn't rivaled by any other park. its a great treasure to the world and should be protected for the next million years at least.

i would never truly wish that a park would close because in the right direction any park could be truly great.

but if it was any park it would be brean lesire park. its not extramly bad but its just fairground rides and its pay per ride and pretty expensive. years ago it had some good rides but now its just mack spinning mouse, prifari looper, flat ride afterburner and a half decent ghost train. its a poor park.

And Freddie, if you've been on Toro, you know it's almost too fun. Who cares if it's a "real" woodie or not.

El Toro is the opposite of "too fun". It's not a complete ride at all. Never before has a ride left me with such a sour taste in my mouth. Toro was an extremely bland coaster, with some fun parts sprinkled throughout.

In response to the thread, I'd like to see SFGAdv torn down. I was really looking forward to this park, but it was the most heartless and sub-par park I've been to. Complete lack of flats, no scenery, and a line up of coasters offering little to get excited about. Maybe I'll give it a shot again when they demolish El Toro in favor of a GG, put in a hyper that offers airtime that's actually enjoyable, and give the park something to enjoy, other than their average coaster-line up.

But...that will never happen.

^I agree, other than KK, Nitro, and although I was dissapointed, ET.

But you are right, that park has the worst collection of flats.

Hey Nightmare they have their version of Shockwave that's 5ft taller and has slightly nicer transitions.

Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom - I don't like many of their roller coasters, and it's too small of a park. Six Flags America is up there, but they have some great roller coasters.

Have you been there recently? My visit to SFKK in 2007 was really great actually. I don't see how being 'too small of a park' is a negative (except in SFNE's case where the midways are literally too small), as many small parks are really amazing. I actually think SFKK has the best atmosphere of the three SF parks I've been to.

^^It's too small of a park as in they don't have enough coasters because the ones they have are pretty bad except for Chang and the mouse. If they closed it, maybe those coasters would find a better home. I been to that park maybe 5-6 years ago.

My favorite ride was Chaos, but they took that out awhile ago.

Not every park needs 16 coasters to be good. SFKK has a well rounded set, which is more important than just having good rides in my opinion. They have a very good flagship ride in Chang, supporting high thrill rides in T2 and Thunder Run, family oriented coasters in Greezed Lightning, Twisted Twins, and the mouse. So even if all the coasters aren't that great, there's still something to do for everyone, which is more important from a marketing standpoint. They also have a pretty wide array of flatrides, unlike most Six Flags parks, and one of Six Flags' biggest water parks which is a huge draw for a place like Louisville.

The park has been performing better since the new management took over as far as I know, and I know I went there expecting a ****hole but it was actually a very nice, clean, well landscaped park. The staff were all the friendliest I've come across at a Six Flags park, or nearly any park for that matter (much nicer than Holiday World especially, who's staff all seem like robots). Rides aside, it's easily my favorite Six Flags park of the three I've been to.

I wouldn't say close any, but Enchanted Forest in Oregon could sure use new management and invest in adding a few coaster!
