A waste of time, i never was fond of shuttle coasters. I mean after one or two tracks theres not much else to do which hasnt been done. Also the minibikes are fairly average, if i had to choose i wouldnt of added them either. I guess they were only added due to Ole's deal with Vekoma and what not. It would have been sweet if they had B&M flying coasters & improved the other B&M trains...but still....

The tracks are really smoothe because they used elementary to speed things up, and they have more than the right to do that. After all, I don't think you would wnat them wasting weeks smoothing a prebuilt coaster when they can be adding stuff to the update. How can you tell it used elementary? Go to the editor and see how many segments the track is made up of. What's funny is that the straight launch run is made up of alot of segments too, when they can straighten it easily and quickly in the editor.

You're talking about the predesinged tracks, right? I thought the one Buster made (Oasis) was very smooth. I've been trying to figure out he did it because it looked like it was all done with the elementary program (the math formula one).

The Tropical Heat coaster was very cool with all the different types of loops put onto a small lake.

I'm not a big fan of the shuttles though.

BTW: I'm new here, but I'm not new to nolimits, I just joined because of the new update

[lol] I forgot about the pre-built tracks....yeah they made me laugh too, i beleive me and Matt were talking about all the segements used in the coasters, i found that funny. Also why the hell is that Tropical Heat track on there? Its a really bad/ugly track. The only good ride on there is Ride_Op's coaster. Ride_op is one of the true greats in my eyes, although that track isnt that great

Ya well lucky Ole has a program that allows him to create an entire coaster using mathmatics, its probably just a linked elementary program. NO its not available to the public.

Not matematics. Just plain bezier curve fitting. The same thing was done on the motorbike coaster. Just a simple 3d path exproted from a design program

Bezier Curve fitting = mathematics... But you're right; it ain't what most people probably think.

BTW: Tropical Heat was included because it shows new things in the sim that aren't as visible on the other tracks. For example NLs new way of building the track. No Joints on the Spine at every vertex. Also it shows how heartlining works and that it is entirely possible to build it in NL. And of course it uses the new blocksystem.

Glad you liked it. :)

Buster.

I enjoyed them but im goin to have to agree with Edge, theres really nothing special about them. The Flying Coaster reall sounds like a good idea for 1.6

All of the preconstructed coasters served their purpose: to showcase the new features of the update. These tracks aren't supposed to make you go "WOW!", they're only meant to plant suggestive seeds to help you with your new v1.5 coaster creations.

I agree with cjd, although I do like shuttles. The "Diving LIM" (Mr. Freeze) is the one I like the best. How was tropical heat "showcasing V 1.5"?
