I also forgot to mention the giant dipper at santa cruz. That ride gives the most air i have ever felt.
Trim breaks are your enemy, retracking/smoothing is your friend. I miss b&m floored sit downs. coaster count=39

I also forgot to mention something: wild mice coasters! They're really fun, and serve high lats and some of them even ejector air!

For me I would have to say Montezooma's Revenge. I didn't expect the kind of power and g's in the loop that that ride had.

Yeah, I agree! I was just on it about a week ago and I only rode it for credit at first, but I was pretty shocked at the awesome positives and even a pretty decent pop of air in the back on the back spike.

^I think the problem with that one is that not too many people actually know about it. [:(]

i dont think Maverick is underestimated....its too new....people flock to cedar point just for that ride

anywho i believe the most underestimated coaster in my area would have to be Ghost rider...at KBF.....it has such a short line and that section of the park is not too crowded.....but the ride is worth it......its a little head banging rough but its great and has fun airtime hills.....people just never talk about it.

Hence why its underestimated. When people even DO hear about it they are like "what? Its those itty bitty cars? ha! and that sign that says "Bone rattling" thats just themeing"

I know for me it was that. I had NO clue how crazy that ride is.

^I definitely agree with that. I went back to IB with my girlfriend two weeks ago after having stupidly not gone for many years, and LoCoSuMo was a huge surprise to me. Janie was telling me how intense it was, and I thought that maybe she was just exaggerating like she often does... then I had to reride that thing several times just to figure out what the heck was going on!

Lost Coaster definitely blew me away because I had underestimated it. I expected Cornball to be great (and it was), but that little ride is pure madness!

Any time you build an actual coaster in a dark ride space I think you'll end up with some pretty wacky stuff. Just looking at what kind of mechanical things they had to do to make soemthing like that makes it crazy.

i would agree, top gun is really fun. definitely not a bad ride...
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

Montu.
Absolutely stunning coaster.
Its an absolute giant in comparison to other B+M Inverts.
Every element is extremly forcefull. The wingover actually burst a blood vessel in my foot.
Batwings are also a rarity among Inverts.
There's trenches, tunnels and the themeing is quite impressive.
But yet its still awesomely smooth.
I love it.

how about the Jokers Jinx/flight of fear/Poltergiest Premier LIM rides that are quite a tangled mess. They were pretty forceful especially in the front.

bad-ass looking tho, so i dont know how they can be called underestimated..but still a great ride.

The wild mouse at PBB. That thing is awesome, the drops are fast with wicked airtime and some of the turns are so impossibly sharp for the speed I get scared just watching it negociate them, and thinking about those little mushroom pegs...

I'll reiterate again, Maverick. It's underestimated by a lot. Virtually everyone I talked to before they went on it for the first time was whining, "what's the big deal? it's only 100 feet tall.", and they figure that it will be tame because it's short.

Granted, of course, those same people were made believers after the ride, but since the topic is "underestimated", and not "underrated", Maverick counts. If it was "underrated", though, my answer would have to be Blue Streak at Cedar Point. Everyone calls it a tame ride, but it has been running fantastically recently, generating great air over most of the hills and really running fast.

I think that the Dog Fart coaster is pretty underestimated. Everyone just figures its a joke but then gets rocked by the airtime and lats and real dog farts.

I have to say WildCat at CP.

To be at the Coaster Capital and still prove to pack a punch on a tiny portable steel cage is unbelieveable. Most people walk right by it on the way to MForce and never look towards it. However if they get in line, they are never dissappointed.

Ozark Wildcat, when I saw it and I believed "this is gonna be fun" but this was way more than fun! this thing rocks, it's pretty small but packs a lot of airtime and lats and with those magnificent GCI trains it's super smooth and comfortable.

Thunderation, you don't see the layout when you climb aboard, plus I rode it backwards so I have been surprised by all the elements. Best Mine train ever, even better than Colorado Adventure.

Cyclops, Even though I knew about the great airtime in the last row, I didn't know that I will stand in the car! I simply hold to the Lap Bar cause I got my bag with me and it will simply fly off the car. I rode it many more times and I let my bag in the station so I could enjoy the ride. This thing is crazy, I wonder how it is that there is no accident on this thing...
