Hey all, your favorite here.

I'm looking for a type of ride to make that's easy and simple. I haven't finished a coaster in, what... 5 years? I want to go all out; full 3ds, landscaping, the works. Doesn't to have the best track, as I want to make this just so I can complete a ride and feel good about that. Also, My CAD teacher is interested in what I do here and would like a modern example as I can present it as an extra credit project (which I don't really need as I'm his best student), if I heavily theme it and stuff (which I will), as my old (finished) rides don't have any themeing and they suck. Again, a track style that is not overly complicated, but on the other hand I don't want to make a kiddie coaster. I want to make a full size one. I'm thinking steel as they are easier in my opinion.

Any help regarding what track type would be appreciated.

Damn, lol'd pretty hard. Stop wasting Oscar's precious bandwidth and finish the Vekoma flyer; you could theme it to some military base or something

So you want to spend very little time on a track and a lot of time on everything else... smh.

If you want easy trackwork, as far as shaping an S&S launch would be pretty easy to do in newton or FVD++.

This is for CAD class and because I like making 3d objects. track isn't important. I'm good with CAD, but I've never made full 3ds for a track. I'm 100% positive I can do it, and I want to finish 1 track with very complex and intricate 3ds. Then I will make a ful coaster, with good shaping and good 3ds.

If what you want is a simple track then I would suggest a wild mouse or vekoma motor bike type ride. Both are very simple to build and smooth and have good possibilities for 3ds theming.
If you are going to make a scene, be seen.
