No, but have to meet at some point(s) to duel. Maybe they can be identical on the lift and wuteva you wanna do after for a few more segments then break up and go separate ways. But if you want racing coasters then make em identical. I'll give you some links to some Dueling coasters from other people so you can get an idea.

Like insane said they don't have to follow the same path. You can take a look at Dueling Dragons for example (www.rcdb.com) they have a dueling layout which means they interact at certain places.
My own ride Hurricane isn't really dueling but more racing and chasing. But it is nice to make a combination with one of these three.

You can read some more about the art of dueling coasters here in the article section: http://www.coastercrazy.com/articles/arti ... =10&aid=65

Good luck building those dueling monsters [pshades]

you can't do this in NL, what you do is make one track but after the first side is done make it end in the other station, then they keep switching back and forth so its not really 2 tracks your making, only 1.

wow, this inspired me to get vanishing point done.....

Keep the coasters close, but not together all the time, i think its cool when the coasters split off in different directions then pull back round straight towards the other train.
