It's a bit too electronic for my liking. However, to judge the music theory and how different techniques are applied: it's not bad. It's repetitive, and there's so many different modes yet to be explored. Far from perfect but it's a good start.

It's so smooth, dude. You should release a slower song though.

You play the bass?

i certainly hope you aren't implying that i don't know what modes you're referring to. I know music theory like the top side of my own dick bud. This was meant to have a repetitive bass line (similar to the stuff you would hear on omar rodriguez lopez's "apocalypse inside of an orange" album. But it starts with a main theme, then strays away from it for the entire song, and then towards the end it finally returns to that theme, which is something many jazz songs do.

Know what? You shouldn't have posted anything if you didn't want to hear any sort of criticism.

^ haha, yeah, i'm a huge AAL fan, as well as cloudkicker and anything of the like... as long as it doesn't have vocals (periphery is disgusting).

^the only part even somewhat "technical" is the tapping solo in sushi. that little slap line is really basic actually.

Not my complete favorite, but still pretty interesting and fun. I would probably prefer a more club/disco take with your bass and such (Daft Punk's Homework album?), but this is still really cool.

^ funny you say that because my actual "band" wrote a song called "dance song" (because we couldn't think of anything better). its very club disco-ish with the bass line and such. sounds like deadmau5 but without the use of computers haha.

^ most of the time i dig progressive. singer has to be good though. Some bands really get my hopes up with some awesome unique sounds, and then they throw some throat cancer singer ontop of everything (this town needs guns)

Good playing tmv, I also play bass, but not jazz, I'm a metal head. That song reminds me of Cynic a bit. They were a jazz in-fuzed death metal band back in 90's. Very mellow death metal though.

Nice bass bro. I have a Fender Jazz (not US model, but it kicks ass). I'm a 4 stringer. What program did you use to record and write the other instruments on?

Keep playin' and writing what you want to write and love.
