Why are there mass shootings every week these days?

I hear about a new mass shooting every week or every other week it seems. I wish it would stop. I never remember this happening back in the 1990s Does Germany or Europe or the rest of the world have shootings this awfully frequent these days? Is the all the very violent shooting computer games these days or school bullies?

Here is the graph showing that fatalities from gun crimes aren't really on the rise. However with a wider news coverage than ever and people dying less from other reasons, maybe it seems that gun crime is on the rise, but its not.


This graph shows automotive fatalities vs gun fatalities. It shows that by 2015 they are going to overtake and that there has been a mild, gradual rise since the naughties, but if you compare it to the early nineties, it's nothing really. Just other area's becoming safer around it.

Crazy guy shot up Los Angeles International Airport today. The shooting affected over 700 flights. I TSA agent dead, 6 or 7 others injured, including the gunman which is in critical condition.
