Hi folks, I have RCT3 but when I try to build up a park and adding a few rides, the whole game slows right down. My PC does meet the requirements, although I only have a 1 gig athlon processor and a GEFORCE 5200 graphics card, I'm certain the game is not meant to do this. Even the tutorial parks run slow.. Does anyone else have this problem? My NL simulator runs perfectly..

Feedback would be appreciated..

Nope. I turn all background programs off. When I first loaded RCT3 it automatically set the graphics to a low setting. perhaps the answer would be that I need a more up to date pc.. with an Intel 4 and an ATI Radeon G Card.. loads of cash... [V]

RCT3 hardly permits you to build a handful of rides before the lag kicks in. It's natural, inpleasant, and there's not much you can do about it.

Oh yeah, the system requirements on the box is a bit fishy about the RAM. Youy should have at least 512 before trying to play. And do cosider an upgrade sometime if you can.

Odd that. I actually do have 576mb of RAM! And, my PC is upgraded as far as it can go for the motherboard.. hmmm. Maybe a new pc would be the only real solution..

cheers for your help.

Try putting some detail settings down, that can help sometime. Refelection looks great on water but takes alot from your memory...

128 mb vid card with 8 pipelines and 512 mb of memory should allow decent settings. For highest your probably need 1 gig memory 256 mb vid card with 16 pipelines

[lol] Oh well guess I'll just have to plod on with what I have! Hey I don't like the way RCT3 draws up the supports on the on ride cams they seem really jerky. -that's probably down to my G card as well-
I think I'll stick to NL........... [approve]

Yea, for some reason when you put lots of good scenery, coasters, and ride. The park just slows rate down. What I did for my PC I turned it off and then played it and then it ran fine but my PC is kinda of new.
