I'm starting on my newest project, Will-O-Wisp. It is a Hyper-Coaster that features a unique first drop. I've been working on it for a week now, supports and all, and it looks good to me! I know the lift supports don't look like the ones on other Hyper-Coasters, but I think my style works too! [:D] If you don't know what a Will-O-Wisp is (Diablo 2 got them wrong, lol!) here's a brief description.

Small, blue beams of light that are said to appear once a night, floating in groups in the woods to a sacred clearing, were people say they open a portal to a second dimension. Touching one will burn your skin, infect you...and according to one victim, "everything inside just seemed to be burning hot, and drawing me back to that spot. I had lost over 30 pounds, and my whole body had burn marks." Will you follow the Will-O-Wisps to the next dimension? Or die trying?

Here's a pick of some: Image

IF you want to know, Will-O-Wisps are also "Pine Lights" according to legend.

Now, here's some pics of the ride.

First drop, looks cool, eh? I know...it's not finished, lol!
Image
Neatness...there's only one ITTY BITTY bump on it...and i just need to bank it right.
Image
That's the chain. Told you it looks different, but please tell me if I need to change it to the other way, i tried, but it is too hard!

Told you it looks pretty cool! The first drop (if you can't tell) is like 270 degree turn, i think that's right. I made a cartexture, and the environment was made by a friend of mine (OMG SARS). I'm gonna make my own environment, and maybe add a little surprise at the end of the first drop (weird tunnel, flash tunnel, i uno)

Anyway, i hope you think this is going to be good, and tell me anything you see that I need to improve on! See ya![:p]

After all of that! Yes it is...hence why it's bumpy, I don't use tools.

Iuno. I tried finding them, but I couldn't find any (that work) and really it's just one small bump at the end of the turn, the only bump so far. I would use tools (cause I think they are ok) bbut it is just the matter of finding a good one.[;)]

There are a bunch of useful ones located here; www.coastercandy.com
free track smoother, auto-heartline generator, tunnel maker, segment combiner, etc.
Also check out www.gravimetricstudios.com

Could you just set the element on a slight angle to fix that?

Ya that's what I was wonderin FN, IDK. Anyway, I cant imagine that spiral on the way down is heartlined, maybe slipped, but heartlined is pushing it.

I haven't posted up dates in a LONG time, but I have some. Here's a few picks, and I tried a little harder to heartline, got a construction shot of it. Plus, now that bump (in my world) is gone.

Image
IS that heartlined? It looks like it to me, and I'll keep trying if it isn't.

Image
Can't really see, but it's a bunny hill, i did the supports. I like the environment foggy so there are no trees in the water.

Image
Better view of bunnyhop. I re-worked it a little, so it's a tad bit thinner than you see here, other than that, it's the same.[;)]

Well, I'm currently working on my "Nebula" element, which is going to be a major pain to heartline and smooth out. I should be done with it by tomorrow (track wise) but I dunno, I'm gonna get my new K2 Fatty's tomorrow (agressive in-line skates).

Well, I'm posting a small little woodie if you want to check that out, it's not very good, but it's fun.[8D]

**--**Sorry about that, I though you could click the images and make em bigger, but guess it didn't work!**--**

Hmm those Screenies make it hard to see much, plus they dont expand, so its hard to see if its heartlined, try posting them agan.

To make myself excessively clear: Lose the sodding fog.

Just did that! Lol. Anyway, i said I haven't posted in a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't worked on it! So, today I sorta-finished the nebula elemant (or so I call it) and worked it a little. The end is a tad bumpy and the lats are a little high, (1.1 i think is the highest). I took off the fog until i post it..so you'll see it clearer. And I think by the end of this month it should be finished if not, then later! Lol. Anyway, here's a few shots of the nebula thingy and some clearer shots of the rest of the ride (supports will be re-worked at the end.)

Image
First two drops re-visited. Lol, supports will be finished and re-worked to look more realistic, don't worry!

Image
The crazy element, and no, there is no loop. It's just overbanked and shaped like one from different angles. It might be a little different with the final product, cause it really isn't smooth or heart-lined (if I'm gonna heartline that part anyway).

I'll make a car-texture for it, but so far the car is just white, so we'll just have to see about that. I'll add trees and stuff, and it will be more themed if I put it in fog and add that tunnel I wanted. Right now, I'm just hoping that the final product will live up to waht it looks like it'll be![:p]
