personally I'd get something like this.

if you're going for speed MIMO is probly better but for range and just like if you wanna chill around the house with yur laptop, SRX is good

I would look at some of the LInksys models, I have experience with the most popuar d-link router, and it kept on crashing due to firmware issues without any reason whatsoever. I tried many versions of their firmware and third-party firmware and I even made a heatsink for the Atheros chip because it was getting hot but with no success. Then I tried to use aluminum foil just under the cover, again, no success. Now that I've made a switch to a Linksys router (still d-link adapter) my signals got boosted around 30% and the transfer rates have increased too. I don't know if they have exactly what you need, but their performance is outstanding compared to many.
If you can though, stick with the hard-wired stuff. If you can. It's just so much better.

Here's my advice. Don't get a wireless router! In my expierence they have been a pain in the damn ass and simply not worth the hassle

You moron, don't go netgear, You'll very much regret it! They overheat and have killer firmware.

U.S Robotics is the one to go for, cheap too!
