Ok so I know I have made the same topic before but this one is a poll not a topic. Anyway I have found a site that tells you the name of nearly every restraint for the people who don't know all the names. Mind you even if you do know all the names visit anyway, because on the last forum people mistook over the shoulder restraints for horsecollars!!!!!!!!!!

The site is...

It has to be the Horse Collar like the ones on Corkscrew at Alton Towers and Flamingo Land!

I said OTSR, but the only reason why i picked that is because I don't particularily like the trains on the Boomerang at KBF. I think its more of a train problem, than it is the otsr, but anyways you aren't able to raise your hands unless your really small. So it limits you in that. But over all, for loopers, I don't mind having the OTSR, I like resting my hands on the restraints, its comfortable.[^]
-edit- I didn't realize that horse collars were crappier versions of the otsr system, and thats what my otsr pick is, [:(] um yeah, my vote goes to that instead of OTSR.

Sorry but I thought the title would explain it. You have to vote for your most hated restraint!

You could always ask if they have seat belt extensions.

Put it one way, every type of restraint is different, in a different type of way. For example, OTSR's on vekoma coasters are shite, there rock hard, but on nemesis they are quite comfy. But every restraint is different for a purpose. They are put there for a reason.

English coaster guy did you read the link I put. The corkscrew uses different restraints to the B&M rides!

The corkscrew: Horsecollar
The Nemesis: Over the shoulder restraint

Im quite aware of the horsecollar restraint, But in books they're the same thing in a way, they both go over the shoulder, but thats just my opinion.

You're rite so well done for pointing that out.

Lol! I know, i really need to lose some weight, but just because i'm fatt it doesn't mean that i can't enjoy coasters [pshades]

They don't have that in here, And probably a big no-no on the intamin because of safety? But they still fit luckily! [:D]

Out of them, i have said vekoma motorbike restraint, as when i went on Velocity, at the start i was in a very uncomfortable position. Make sure, when riding one of these, you sit down carefully, and make yourself comfortable before the restraints go down. If you dont, the first 30 seconds until you sort yourself out can be uncomfy. Also, when trying to sit up straight with your hands up, it feels weird as you have that thing in your back.

I know what you mean. I just tried to move a bit whilst it was going and my ribs were slapped against the padding stuff. I know its padded but it was still quite painful!

Easily OTSR's. Have you ever heard of a ride called Manhattan Express? It is a Togo coaster in Las Vegas. It uses OTSR's and with those rough Togo turns, my jaw hit the OTSR at least twice. I was in pain for two days!

Most coaster enthusiast's would have the sense to miss that one out.
All though extreme roughness on coasters is a nostalgic thing to me. Should have hit NASCAR Cafe instead for Speed, that things awesome.

Out of all the coasters ii have rode i have found every restrain comforable. The worst is probly the horse collars on ninja at sfstl.
Trim breaks are your enemy, retracking/smoothing is your friend. I miss b&m floored sit downs. coaster count=39

Horse Collars are by far the worst. particularly the ones with no grab handles like corkscrew at Cedar Point.

the x-car has by far the worst ever, if your not tall enough of the wrong body shape you get a whole restraint pushing up under your ribs and that is very uncomfortable. especially on g-force when your hanging upside down
Making screams come true

Millennium Flyers have terrible restraints. They're not the worst, but they take the most away from the ride.
