3. Doesn't that get expensive?

Well, for me, it's a tie, the 2 worst coasters would be the ones SFMM finally gave the well-deserved overdue scrapping to. I know Flashback didn't get quite up to or past 40, but, it was probably the worst ride ever. On a side-note, I wish I would have been able to ride it when it first debuted at SFGA as Z-Force. Windjammer Surf Racers and Ghostrider are in a close 2nd though.

I thought that ride was terrible. Speed was OK, and we didn't even go inside circus circus, because it looked like a dump.

Both roller coasters were ridden drunk for me, so I have no bias. Speed was much better in my opinion. Aside from the scenery, the NYNY coaster was really boring and kind of a head banger.

But then again.... I only rode both roller coasters once, because that's not why I went to Vegas... If you go to Las Vegas to ride roller coasters, you're doing it wrong.

You can eat cheap and healthy outside of the park. IF he's old enough to drive there are many alternatives to eating inside the park. Even if he's not, that park is walking distance from many places to eat. You can also ask for free water from the consession stands, which is what I have always done. I only drink one soda a day, and I'm not down for paying 5 bucks for it, or 3 dollars for water.

For typical visitors, a trip to an amusement park is expensive. However, I would hope(key word) for someone who visits the park many different times a year that they would be looking into cheaper alternatives aside from park ripoff consessions. Who knows... most people are pretty dumb with their money these days.

I already am bored of V2, I have Steel Venom... lol I didn't even ride that at SFGam this summer. But I agree, at Valleyfair I ride Excalibur, Renegade, Corkscrew, High Roller mostly; a win win because they're my favorites and tend to have the shortest lines. Wild Thing and Steel Venom only every now and then.

No, Rolling Thunder is much worse than Lightning Racer. Lightning Racer doesn't have too many strong forces, but like all GCIs its designed to be friendly to families, not to be as intense as possible like some GG and Intamin rides.

Rolling Thunder is just an incredibly slow paced, boring, but very rough ride. There isn't as much traditional jackhammering as seen in rides like Mean Streak...it's more of potholes in many of the pullouts. The last few times I rode weren't as bad as in the past, to be fair, but it's still too boring for thrillseekers, and not smooth enough for families.

What is wrong with Ghostrider? Yes, It has gotten rough though if that is your logic.

^ My ribs got pretty bruised up last time I rode it. It is a lot of fun, i'll admit, but I prefer rides that don't beat the crap out of me.

Ghostrider in the back was super awesome. I ride it like that all the time. I get jostled and all, but I think it is awesome, plus airtime (at least used to have) off the MCBR is spectacular.

The coaster may be a little rough, but nowhere near a worst-ranked coaster.... I can name 100 woodies worse. Just look t Mitch's poll for that.

[stoning] This is an opinion based thread, not fact, so do me a favor, stick your hand in front of your face, turn your hand so your palm is facing you and then take your hand and forcefully place it upon your forehead.

Well then I guess you have no other woodies to compare GhostRider to. Among the majority opinion, it is better than SD Giant Dipper and Colossus. And that's just in this aea.

I wasn't saying you're wrong anyway, I was saying that my (and most peoples) opinion differs from yours. So do me a favor, stop exaggerating things and shut the love up because you sound like a bitch.

I have been on Plenty of wooden coasters, including Both CA Giant Dippers, and Colossus, and for me, I prefer them over Ghostrider. The Morgan trains offer a more "free" experience and better ejector because they lack the seat belts that are on Ghostrider as well as more room in the seats so you really slide around on the turns. Plus, older wood coasters are supposed to run rough and shaky, not 12-13 year old wood coasters.

Okay, well you and your army of zero can prefer crappy Morgan Trains while the rest of us prefer MFlyers and sometimes PTC's.

And just so you know, there is absolutely NO ejector airtime on SD Giant Dipper or Colossus. And actually, Morgan trains AREN'T free and open, or even padded. Esspecially compared to PTC trains. Morgan trains actually suck...a lot. Plus Colossus has individual restraints so a seatbelt wouldn't even affect the ride. Morgan trains are unusually tall and they ride horrible, esspecially in the back of the train of SD Giant Dipper, for example.

I'll admit, I don't like the seat divider on GhostRider's PTCs, but that's the only complaint I have with the trains comfort. Go ride BDash and tell me that Morgan trains are better.....

I'm not really a fan of Millennium Flyers to be honest. Of course, though, the only GCI I have been on was Apocalypse at SFMM. I don't know If its the park, or the trains, but the lap bars are really loose. I love when lap bars stop at certain point. But these, go down as far as they can and stay there. On most rides, I sit up in my seat a bit so when the ride attendant pushes the restraint down to make sure it is secure, i can sit back down and have some room to enjoy airtime. One thing with the MF's on Apocalypse, is that they go down all the way so even if you sit up in your seat, they will go back down when you sit down all the way. Yeah, they are comfortable, but the restraints are so.. whats the word.... Again, that is the only GCI I have been on, so it might only be Apocalypse. When I go ride Roar at SFDK this summer I will have to see what those trains restraints are like.

BD is actually on the top of my list. I am hoping to be able to make an East Coast trip in the near future to visit some of my favorite parks. At least we agree that the seat dividers on Ghostrider suck. I do have to point out that Ghostrider does have individual restraints and seat belts, so, the comment about a seat belt not affecting the ride makes no sense.
