I saw in a faq for the game one time that the developers do not plan on making a "nolimits" style editor because it would be too complicated for the main audience of the game. A lot of the people who play the game probably don't even know the coasters are unrealistic.
Oh yeah, I'm sure the advanced fireworks editor wouldn't. [hello]
Don't listen to those assholes, they're full of lame excuses. Even if they aren't able to make an NL style editor optional (which is impossible), they could've at least included the old support pieces, a track piece scaling system, 3ds import, etc, but they decided to include "diverse" peeps, not only is this not needed, it only lags the game even more. Of course, they only listen to the gay atari forums, which do nothing good to them. Not to mention how they've placed the track pieces (paricularly the 0 g roll) on the wrong coaster types, and didn't include it for the right ones, what a bunch of retards. And other than in RCT2, I never seen strata coaster rides (or something similar) launch from stations, come on, that's just lame and retarded. Obviously, RCT3 dev teams doesn't really care if it's simcoaster or not. (except for the fact that they use real coaster types, that's a start, but certainly not an end) Not to mention that they removed important coaster features, like entrance/exit stations, so now, our TTD recreations are going to be really messed up. (as if the launch from station didn't love it up enough)
