those toboggan rides are trimmed to the bone... At least that's what i've heard...

The way I understand it the ride is pretty heavily breaked until you hit the bunny hills at the bottom. What looks like a center rail all down the spiral is in fact the break, you can see it's absent on the hills.

I do believe 'Buster' did a top knotch recreation of this ride some years back, in fact I think it was his first ever ride, I remember it being uploaded onto coastergames.net

It's the dark strip between the 2 rails and runs down all but the top of the spiral. U can also see the block brake half way down which is why it can run 2 cars at once, scarily closely.
I've seen them many times at fairs here and once I read a review where the guy said with some of them where there wasnt padding on the roof taller paoples heads got bashed on the roof in the bunny hops.
