I think we all know that a roller coaster doesn't necessarily have to be big to be a great ride. There are plenty of coasters out there that are less than 100 feet tall but pack a good punch. For me, my favorite under 100 foot coaster would be Renegade at Valleyfair. It has a great S-shaped drop, several nice moments of air, and is out-of-control. It stays close to the ground most of the time, which makes it feel faster than it really is. I probably feel a little soft for it since it's at my home park, but it's still a great ride. I give honorable mentions to Spongebob at Nickelodeon Universe and Ozark Wildcat at Celebration City. Even though Spongebob has been getting slightly rougher lately (as I mentioned in my recent trip report), it still packs a great punch for being only 75 feet tall. I rode Ozark Wildcat almost 11 years ago, so I don't remember that much about it, but I remember it being a very fun ride. I hope that this ride can be saved someday.

RIP Ozark Wildcat.

I saw it SBNO last April and it was so sad to see it rotting there.

It is all enclosed in that area now. I just loved how insane that drop was!

Phoenix at Knoebels. Crazy airtime and a relentless finish make it feel as powerful if not more powerful and fast paced as many larger coasters. Otherwise, this is my top 5 under 100 ft.

1. Phoenix at Knoebels
2. Silver Comet at Martin's Fantasy Island
3. Cyclone at Luna Park
4. White Lightning at Fun Spot America
5. Wooden Warrior at Quassy Amusement Park

Yeah it's all wood. The only steel coaster that gets close to being amazing and under 100 ft is Maverick, but its 1 ft too tall lol. It would be #2 though.
1.Boulder Dash | 2.Legend(HW) | 3.Beast | 4.Ravine Flyer II | 5.Intimdator 305 | 6.Phoenix | 7.Twisted Timbers | 8.Wicked Cyclone | 9.Thunderhead | 10.Storm Chaser

Atlantis Adventure @ Lotte World - Tight-radius corners, a couple of really close headchoppers, and some pretty strong airtime!

Tie between these two Kennywood coasters (both at 95 feet):

Skyrocket - Not particularly intense, but it's smoother than butter!
Image

Thunderbolt - If you're the smaller rider, the double helix is a ton of fun :)

This has got to be among my lowest ranked steel coasters, I'm always surprised to find people enjoy these things.

I'd say Vortex at Canada's Wonderland is a pretty great ride under 100', as well as The Bat at Kings Island, two of the best remaining Arrow suspended coasters.

I think Apocalypse at Magic Mountain is my favorite. It was rough in a way that I have never experienced before, could be do to Six Flags neglect, but it was awesome!

I'm not sure Nemesis counts with its 104ft overall drop.

Megaphobia however - yes please!
