YouTube Uploading with AVS

ok im trying to upload a vid of my coaster on 2 youtube but the onride video size is to big 4 youtube. youtubes video size is 2GB. but my onride vid is like 5GB's. someone told me to use AVS and convert it as the same file(.avi). so i did. but every time i get it converted, it just comes out as the audio, there is no video to it. can any1 help me with this???[?][?][?][:(]

Just Open up Windows Movie Maker ( Should come standard with xp and vista computers ) And import the video, and then export it in a .wmv or .mpg
It will compress it for you. Otherwise, look up video converter and convert the .AVI ( The raw footage ) and convert it to a compressed format like the 2 mentioned above. ( Both WMV and MPG work great with youtube )

Opening it with Windows Movie Maker wont solve the problem if you dont have the correct video codec's installed. You compressed the video into a DivX or Xvid format, which your computer dosent have installed. Windows Movie Maker or Windows Media Player or any other player cant read the file unless the correct codecs are present. The reason the file is so large is becuase NL records with no compression method, thus producing large files. Xvid and DivX just makes these files smaller. Just take the original source file and convert it to .FLV format. Then after you upload it, the video wont take as long to 'process'...thats what YouTube calls converting video files into .FLV so they can be played in your web browser.
