Ah, yes, Mantis. It was a wonder when it opened up at Cedar Point. At that time I had ridden only one stand-up coaster, that being King Cobra at Kings Island. Mantis provided a completely different experience, being a B&M instead of a Togo. This recreation is spot-on with the gorgeous scenery behind it (sharing the lake with Iron Dragon). I still remember being in line and seeing "I Only Want to Be With You" from Hootie and the Blwofish playing on the big screens in the queue. RIP Mantis. Now you're just another generic floorless coaster.
Rode Mantis as it is now called Rougarou as a floorless coaster in 2015, but have seen many pictures and videos while it was Mantis. 10s across the board. 8 for a degree of difficulty, as Mantis doesn't sound impossible to recreate, it does have a twisted trackwork that can take a lot of time to get right.
WOW, that was a really good recreation! I've ridden neither Mantis nor Rougarou so I watched a few povs to match the ride. And it matched very well! Supports were done really good, nice station... I can't really find any critic at the moment! Overall: A great recreation! Be proud of it!
Had enough detail to make the ride feel believable whilst maintaining FPS etc. Fantastic trackwork and some really cool extra little details (the transfer track was a work of art). Few issues here and there like missing connectors / floating catwalks etc. etc. and the area around might've had some extra details but otherwise top work.
