Here it is Christmas Eve, I'm a church organist with 2 more church services to go yet this evening, and I'm thinking about roller coasters!
I finished En Garde well over a year ago, and have held it on my harddrive since then. This was uploaded before the recent track losses, so I'm uploading it again. I've got one more that was lost on this site. I'll get to that soon.
En Garde was completed long before the new version of NL. The structure is auto-generated, but the bracing is custom. En Garde is a dueling/racing coaster. I took "inspiration" from America's 3 dueling coasters, and "borrowed" elements from all 3, plus created one of my own. The kicker wheels in the station are necessary because I couldn't slope the station areas if I wanted them both to be even with each other but have the trains depart in opposite directions. When the very first version of NL came out, I did a steel coaster that was similar to this one. Once the wood option came out, I revamped it, with some major changes to the profile and footprint for the latter part of the layout. This is the result.

HOLY CRAP THIS COASTER IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
this is the king of dueling coasters, it has everything a wooden dueling coaster can do and it was so unbelievably smooth...YOU ROCK AT MAKING WOOD COASTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow this was super-awesome! i really like the racing-style woodies, especially when they have nice layouts like this!!! i didnt really see anything wrong with this coaster! great job [:)]
BT: really not the grestest, there were some bumps and parts that couldve been smoother and just fixed up a bit. seen way better built wooden coasters...
A: there were a lot of slow parts, then near miss(high adrealine) then around slow corner)low adrenaline) then highg, then low, then hig........etc. i dont think this was the best job either...
O: wow! very original, an awesome ride, great job here, different layouts, and a really great job.
Tech: Very well built, a amazing layout and a good mix of hills and turns. Just two thing's I'd like to point out on the Purple coaster. 1. There is a 2G lateral spike on a turn along the track. 2. After that turn a tree came a bit too close and hit me in the face.
Ad. You did a great job here with the timing at the duel moments.
O: Anyone who can master the duel coasters so smoothly and perfectly can expect a good rate from me!
Overall, I would definetly ride this a thousand times without getting bored.
Technical- This is like the smoothest coasters I have ever downloaded! It was very well done and very realistic.
Adrenaline- It was there but I was looking for some greater air time vs. all the turns. But I understand that you channeled GCI and it shows in all your unique turns and transitions.
O- Anyone that can master the racing/dueling effect on nolimits has to be original and to make 2 seperate layouts really shows something but I saw a little bit of gwazi in some parts but that can be just me!
Overall what No limits coaster designs should be like! Keep up the good work!
The trackwork is classic Bob, you have really exemplified it here, although there are still those leaning straight-aways that I hate <that''s a joke, Bob>.
What got me here though (besides for some reason the killer FPS rate), was the feeling of it being very so barren. While I know you have taken time to theme past coasters, this one just seemed almost finished, but lacked any real personality to it, and so I chipped the score one mark in Originality. The dueling was perfect, from any train you rode in, and the exemplified layouts were very thought out and I for one, was just glad to see that the trains were not both running side by side for the whole layout. There seemed to be a less than grandeur finish to each train though, like it just ran out of gas and to me, that just does not make me want to jump back on. I am not saying there needs to be a double loop before the brakes, but something that makes me go, "Whoa, what was that?!?"
However, let me be clear here -- this is very, very excellent work ... congrats.
