This is a recreation of a rollercoaster in Disneyland Resort Paris.
I tried to keep the ride as accurate as possible. I took al lot of efford to study the ride, the trains, the tower position and all other aspects of the ride. This made me decide to recreate this coaster in this special way.
There are only 3D lights and signs, the building and truss structure is all from supports, this to keep the simulation as light as possible.
Special thanx to:
- Dj Javixxxxx
He donated me all the 3D objects!

I love the graphics and hoCast member previews for the ride were initially held the last week of June, 1999. On 29 July 1999, the ride officially opened with a special, invitation-only party, with Aerosmith as the guests of honor. Winners rode to Disney's Hollywood Studios in stretch limousines and were treated to an all-you-can-eat buffet and bar. After a special performance by painter Denny Dent, winners got the chance to ride the roller coaster with one of the Aerosmith band members. At the exit of the ride, outside of the gift shop, there hangs a picture from the special event. The paintings Denny Dent made of the five band members hang in various employee office locations on Walt Disney World property.
The pre-show has changed from when the attraction first opened. Currently, band member Joe Perry would ask "Chris" to "grab my black Les Paul." A Disney cast member in the pre-show area would then pick up and remove a black guitar signed by Joe Perry from the set. The script uses the uni*** name "Chris" so either a male or female could play the part. Although not used as often as when the ride first opened, the position is still used from time to time (generally, if the attraction is overstaffed). The film also includes a roadie saying "Hey Joe, I'll get it for ya" as a backup, in the event that a cast member is not available for the part.
w real it looks
woah, this is awesome!!! the 3d's were outta this world, the layout was pretty much exact (as far as i can remember), and it was overall just outstanding! great job on this!!!!!
People who say It is the same as STR/Xpress @WW, it's not the WW version is edited a little so six flags could use this disney ride and to compensate for a slightly higher launch because of missing speakers, so the train is lighter...
This is a pretty good recreation. There are other recreations of this ride out there, so I'm comparing this one to the others I've seen. Your track layout is very accurate; more accurate than the other recreations I've seen. Not a bad job on the 3D's. The wooden support station is a little freaky, but one recreation I've seen had the entire inside of the building done, but it is very heavy on your CPU as a result.
Edit: Sorry about the original rating. I had to go back and compare better.
Sea Serpent;
By the construction drawings it was not to narrow, the base of this element is 6 meters wide, and the op is about 11 meters wide just like in my version. I'll try to upload the drawings as soon as possible.
Brakes;
I've been up there loads of times to check the brake sections in the morning, and believe me, there are wheels there on this break section. These wheels are normally roled away from the track (wide open) but when a train comes to a hold over there, they are activated to roll the train away. Security setting by Disney.
Supports too close;
I've checked them and did a tunnel test. None of the supports comes clearly into the tunnel, only hits the roof of the tunnel when it is there. There is one support very close, but that one is also close in real. In nolimits it looks closer, don't know why, I think it is a scaling issue. some of the truss structures are close, but I don't think they are too close.
Support through track;
I saw it when you mentioned it . . . stupid mistake indeed. In the next version it will be fixed. Thanx for the information.
Track:
The track is as accurate as I could make it. At the most extreme point it is 1 meter of from the original. I kept the drawings of the track with me all the time and layed it over in NoLimits to recreate the track. As in some other points. Screenshots are coming ASAP!
Outside:
I made the building in 3D and in supports, with a 3D building my framerate dropped drasticly. So that made me decide to make the building from supports. This is also the reason why it is externally a black box and notthing more. I can change it, but it is already a quite heavy simulation, that should make it a lot heavier. So I know the problem, but I thought it wouldnt be a problem, there are nog external points in this ride.
I've tried to do all aspects but noticed quite fast that it was not possible. I've get problems with the framerate because of the big load of 3D structures. This made me decide to remove some and replace them with support structures to still make it look as good as possible. Next time I will make also the outside and the queue line, but I left it out this time with a reason, I hope you understand.
T: Not very good at all. The track wasn't very well constructed. Lots of pumping, and just plain inaccuracies. You should never have wheels on MCBRs. A lot of too close moments with supports and the like. You did do the objects very well and you had the general layout for the track down. At the beginning between the two stations the train went through a support section.
O/A: Not so great. The objects and all were nice on the inside, but your track was a little off. For example, the seaserpent was too narrow, it has to be a little wider as shown by this picture. That ride is exactly the same, just look it over to see what was off since I really don't know the rides that well. One other thing is the outside of the building. I'm sure in real life it is just a big black box. This is a recreation, you should redo all aspects of the ride.
You could set launch on and stop wait time to 3 or something, then just play around with the G's under "launch". just don't set "speed" for transporty to high just 2 Km or something...
I had the same feeling at first, but when I rode it with the music with it then it seemed to be allright. It is weird, the real one is as fast as this one comparing to the music. Also the G's are allright, the launch is allright . . . The slowness feeling is familiar over here, but I don't think it is faster (the real one).
The braking on the first midcourse happens in the real one also. But not as heavy as this one. I am still tweaking it to make it better.
I disagree with you about the launch. I have checked some images I took from the launch section and it is almost the same as mine. I've worked there as a CastMember and took a close look at the launch many times. I think this is the most accurate option. I tried to make the brake section shorter, but then the train was not halted on the start of the launch. I think this is the best option.
Can't rate this week, but I do have some commments:
This is a very good recreation, but some things didn't feel like the real thing. Having ridden this a million times last summer, the ride just seemed to be too slow in some parts.
Also, the MCBRs don't actually slow the train down. Also, at the end when the coaster is nearing the end,, you get a nice 'pop' or airtime at the front seats. In your recreation I think the train was going too slow to give that feeling. Also the launch was off. You are launched from the breaks, you don't roll onto the LIMs.
But overall, I'd give this an 8.5. So this is a very good recreation.
superb creation with, looked very much like the real thing.
there were a few minor bumps in the track and some near miss's which were too near to be like the real thing but ill let them slit as it was a very very good recreation

Veel lichteffecten en een super snel baantje
