So I log onto AIM today and I am immediatly greated by a instant message from the "AOL System Msg" stating that THEY have placed 2 AIM bots on MY buddy list. The message is as follows:

AOL System Msg: AIM added a new AIM Bots group to your Buddy List.
AOL System Msg: Send IMs to moviefone and shoppingbuddy for great holiday flicks and gift ideas. (To remove 'em, just right-click and delete! Learn More)

Its good that they made them easy to delete. But that is seriously screwed up that they took it upon themselves to add the bots to my list without any form of authorization or notification before they put these things on the buddy list. To my knowlage there isnt even an option to disable such actions from being taken. Shame on AIM.

I don't. I use iChat, which is not the best chat program, but the one I know.
