I'm working with tunnels in sketchup and I need to have the measurements of the clearance envelope. It wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the envelope being scripted so that it doesn't spawn unless attached to the car, otherwise I could've measured it in the editor. So, is there anyone who knows the exact measurements for the b&m floorless clearance?

Can you 3ds a ruler and measure it? Why not just use the tunnel clearance instead?

The tunnel clearance is unreliable. At least one coaster type (B&M flyer perhaps?) has a tunnel that severely clips into the clearance envelope. I seem to remember a developer saying that the clearance envelope measurement is one meter from the location of the rider's shoulder.

just import the model into NL, if its too small, make it bigger and re import it. repeat until the right size is achieved.

^ The problem is that it's not quite that simple if it's a large and complex object, like say a long rocky tunnel.

I'm not sure the size of the envelope for all the coaster types (since it's a bit smaller for some of the styles, like the schwarzkopf trains), but for the B&M's and Intamins it's generally about 1.5x an arms length to the side of the trains (So I'd say about 1.00 - 1.20 meters) and either the same (if the trains have lap bars) or about half (is the trains have ostrs) of that length above the train.

I should say I'm currently trying to remember this from memory as I'm not at home/in front of NL2 at the moment, but it should be right.
