We've been experiencing some major downtime in the last few days. While we think it is fixed, it may happen again at any time.

We have historically had very little downtime, so when we do I know it's a pretty big deal. It appears sometime Sunday night a critical security patch was installed that caused a conflict with the new raid card we installed when we upgraded the servers storage. There are about nine version upgrades that were marked as critical on the raid card each linked to some sort of fatal error that might cause a sudden restart of the server. I applied the latest firmware available which was related a few weeks ago and the system appears to be stable again.
