Will you add ferris wheel sounds like this?

^^ I'm using Blender and exporting my models with a .dea extension. It works pretty well with NoLimits. :)
^ I don't mind adding the sounds to the Ferris wheel but I think it may be not realistic. Those Ferris wheels in the video's are smaller and the cabin's are closer to the motor. I think that's what causing most of the noise. If I'm hearing it right on the Youtube video's the sound at the top of the wheel is just a bit of wind (which you'll already hear in the simulator).
It should be easy to add a config file which contains an option for adding sound in the cabins or keeping them quiet. Maybe this is a good solution?

Yes that sounds like a great solution.

It's so fun to read this thread. Worth being one of our stickiest topics! :)

Centrifugal forces are added to the Topspin and some small bugs were fixed:

And the frames for the cabins are added:

Does anyone know a "Ferris Wheel Database" thing? I'm just wondering. ;)

^^ The real Daikanransha is 115 meter high. I'm a few meters off with this recreation. It's now 109,6 meters high so it's 5,4 meter (18 feet) off. I'm not planning on editing the ride because it looks like a good height and if I wanted to edit it, I should start all over again.

^ Cool5 gave me this link a few weeks back:

Awesome on the TopSpin, in the end are you planning on program in the arm sequencing for it and letting physics do the rest?

Yup, I'm trying to make a standard ride program and make a configuration file in which an own ride program could be made.

Awesome, I'm keeping a very keen eye on this topic haha. I'd love to offer my help but I think you're more advanced in terms of modelling in blender and programming than me so you'll have to settle for my gentle encouragement :P

I didn't start on them yet. I got a lot of homework for at least a week. Maybe I will try to model something if I get really tired of my homework. ;) But I probably won't start until the weekend.

^ Fantastic you prepared these types ranged from big to small ones for Herman. Is it just me or the big wheels go well with large coasters while the tiny ones are perfect for compact coasters?

Yesterday I took a small brake from my homework and try to model the cabins. It's still work in progress and I still want to add a lot of details (and off course add a door) but here is my cabin so far:

I think the cars look a little too short in height. Can you make them like 7 feet?

It's already 7.2 feet from the floor to the roof of the cabin. In total the cabin is 9.2 feet high.

Can you make the walls of the cabin a little thinner?

They seem to be too thick and chunky.

^ Good luck to you adding those cabins. Positioning them properly would be pretty hard, even for skilled designers.

Actually the positioning won't be that hard. I just have to copy the cabin and turn it 11.25 degrees with the center of the wheel as the turning point. :)
