How about a shoutout Box?

I was looking to upload my pics from last night, but realized if I just edited my pic thread without double posting it wouldn't register that the thread has been updated. How about a shoutout box to leave notes about updates or threads or posted rides? That way it doesn't bump the forums but can still let people know that posts have been updated or changed. As well as working as sort of a news box for members that really don't have blurbs that warrant full threads or posts

Eh, just double post, I know it is against site policy, but after 24 hours, I don't usually have a problem with it.

I like your idea though, but would require coding, and our coder is existent 1 day every 2 weeks.
