Newton does NOT entirely eliminate lateral Gs. Even if a track is perfectly heartlined, the actual riders are offset to either side of the heartline unless the trains are only one seat wide. Therefore, lateral forces will be experienced. That being said, 1.4 does seem like it could probably be reduced.

Something slightly related: 2.4 Gs seems awfully weak.

Not when it is sustained on a flyer.

Yeah, I said "practically eliminate". I know that nothing can really get rid of ALL lateral G's. But if your edge seats spike that high, your transition is too fast.

Surely those rolls on the flying dutchman models pull at least 1.4 lat. G?

If that is the case than I will speed the launch right back up. Is there anywhere where those statistics can be found?

I don't think there are any stats around. I also don't think they pull 1.4 anywhere, but I don't think that's a crazy figure. It's possible, as there are some decent lats here and there.
