A site with as many members as this one needs to be moderated constantly. It's a good idea and it helps to keep the troublesome posts at bay.

Let me ask this: Why do you get so upset when something you said was moderated?

one question, if peeps say that a rate is bad. Then the rater should be able to explain the rate in the topic IMO. Is that now possible or not?

Well, really a "good" rate should be self-defending. If there is any need for the rater to defend himself, then the original rate wasn't supported enough in the first place.

Well, not always true. Sometimes a rate is so well defined that people dont understand your intentions or they flat out just dont get it.

IE My last rating. I spend 25 minutes to give someone tips and help and then I getcalled bitter and ridiculous! Imagine that, Someone takes time from their day to help another and gets called bitter...go figure huh?

Well, right. I didn't say a well-done rate wouldn't be challanged, just that the mods wouldn't have any trouble making the call.

Yea, I just wanted to throw out the obvious rebuttle. :P Just to make sure people understand I, along with others who rate like that, arent doing it for the kicks of seeing people flip out. I actually expect and hope people grasp something positive from what I throw out.

this is actually a good idea and i'm surprised it didnt come about earlier (although i can;t exactly say i have a clean slate about posting where i shouldnt (complaints forum)) but i agree with the train of thought here, if a member thinks their rating is good, and someone posts it in the complaints, how do they defend themselves>? or would a mod look at the rate and give the person a chance if it actually IS a decent rate(?) or would they not get a say in it? either way, it's a great idea and i think it should be experimented with [:)]
