When you insert auto page numbers, is there a way to exclude certain pages from displaying a page number so it doesn't print the page number on it?

Yes. You go into the header and footer and delete the text you do not want.

You can use section breaks to divide the document into sections that need page numbers and section that dont have them.

I'm not sure how it all worked, but if you google it there are some walkthroughs.

if you have 2007 click the insert tab then click page numbers. once you have done that click the insert tab if necessary click page number and choose top, bottom or margin. you will then see the header & footer design tools tab click it, under options click "Different First Page" that should work
