My First Remix, Evah.

I recently got Cubase again and decided to remix a reeeallly catchy song. I decided that Hot Butter's Popcorn was perfect.
Its not really done, I've only got the first melody variation in there but I'd like your opinions.

It's meh. First off, the clap with the different variations sounds horrible. Take out the swing and just keep the quarter notes for the clap. Second, when the bass comes in, and the part before, the measures seem very weird. Try to keep the measures in 4/4 time. That wouldmake it sound way better. Also, the part with the two eigth notes on the kick sounds off. Last, the kick sounds too much like a pillow. Add some more undertones. Make it more like Recalled to life or something.
