You can upload Nl2 scripts to the exchange.

Since I don't have NL2 (if you're wondering why, I can't afford it) I don't know the file extension they use so stick them in a zip file and pick "NL2 - Script" from the track styles selection.

For any other suggestions, please post them in the Feedback and Suggestions forum as I check that one couple times a day versus other forums.

Thanks,
Oscar

You could also add .txt for easy download and editing script.
But then the person will have to change the file extension back to .nlvm

I wonder what kind of rating system the scripts will have.

I just uploaded my first script, but I did as a .nl2pck.
It includes the script assigned to a demo track.

I think we shouldn't have one for scripts in my opinion.

On the exchange, I can't select NL2 Script as a search field.
So I can't narrow out just NL2 scripts if that is all I want to come up in a search.

Given that Scripts was brought up post the SOW was submitted to the dev and work had begun, I can't say. However, it might be something we can edit ourselves in the code or see if the coder will include it for the amount he's being paid now.

Mike and I decided that we're not going to host scripts in the exchange. Due to the need that they need to be discussed, we came up with the conclusion that making a forum for Scripts alone would be a better option as people will be able to upload their scripts and carry on discussions there about them. These discussions are in relation on how to use it, examples on use and overall support for the scripts. The exchange isn't ideal and for that reason, in the redeployment of cc, they will not be found in the exchange.

Good, I was going to ask if a subforum/forum for scripts could be created. Regardless of the hosting decision.

I understand the lack of hosting as well. It doesn't seem that the scripts will be much in the way of plug-n-play in most cases. However, that is being said BEFORE I have had time to plink around with the scripting, so a well designed script may be able to be user-friendly out of the box.

The exchange is not a suitable place for scripts. They are not cookie cuter and will require custom tweaking of variable names etc. I think that it's best we allow open discussion and critique of scripts so that they are consistent improved are peer reviewed for following best practices and steaming any potential issues.

We should be able to use the syntax highlighting plugin in the new forum, and that should make it easy to post code to a dedicated sub-forum category.
